How It Works:

  1. Complete Your Intake

  2. Submit Feed & Forage Information

  3. Ration Analysis

  4. Receive Your Nutrition Plan

  5. Follow-up

Professional Ration Analysis

Each comprehensive consultation evaluates the entire ration against established equine nutrient requirements. We assess energy, protein, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, nutrient ratios, forage contribution, commercial feeds and supplements to identify deficiencies, excesses and unnecessary overlap.

No feed-company bias.

No one-size-fits-all programs.

Recommendations are based on the needs of the individual horse rather than on selling a specific feed or supplement. We only use science backed formulation and evaluations with our nutrition software to help evaluate your specific horses needs.

Large Barn & Training Facility Nutrition

Managing nutrition for an entire barn requires more than putting every horse on the same program. Klepinger Equine offers individualized and barn-wide nutrition services for trainers, breeders, boarding facilities and performance barns.

Services may include:

  • Individual horse ration analysis

  • Barn-wide forage evaluation

  • Feed-program review

  • Supplement consolidation

  • Vitamin and mineral balancing

  • Performance-horse nutrition

  • Senior-horse nutrition

  • Growing-horse programs

  • Feeding charts

  • Cost-conscious ration planning

  • Follow-up adjustments

Forage Comes First

Forage should form the foundation of most equine feeding programs. Whenever possible, we evaluate the horse's actual forage rather than relying only on generic hay values.

A forage analysis can help us evaluate:

  • Protein

  • Calories

  • Fiber

  • Sugar

  • Starch

  • Calcium

  • Vitamins

  • Phosphorus

  • Magnesium

  • Potassium

  • Copper

  • Zinc

  • Iron

  • Manganese

Once we understand what the forage is already providing, we can make much more accurate decisions about feed, balancers, minerals and supplements.

Ready to Build a Better Nutrition Program?

Whether you're feeding one horse or an entire barn, the goal is the same: understand what the horse is receiving, understand what the horse requires, and build the ration from there.
